    The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Priority 1 checkpoints are the basis for a standard of accessibility.  The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are part of a series of Web accessibility guidelines published by the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative. They consist of a set of guidelines on making content accessible, primarily for disabled users, but also for all user agents, including highly limited devices, such as mobile phones.

    Each page of communityresourcecenterla.org also conforms to the Technical Standards for Web-based intranet and internet information and applications defined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794d).

    Font colors are checked to make sure they are easy to read and do not blend in with the background or with other font colors.
    Each page of the graphical version of lacare.org has a text magnification control built into it that enables visitors to easily increase or decrease typeface size. It is positioned at the top of each page.

    Images are tagged to inform readers of their content and purpose.

    Link destinations are clear. Additional coding is used to show link destinations when necessary.
